Solar Power Oven

We wanted to make a solar power oven to cook a chocolate button on a cracker.

First we made a solar oven by cutting  a cardboard box  then we put tin foil and put black paper on top then plastic wrap so stuff cant get inside.

We put it on tote tray for the day in the sun. I  learnt that some times you do not need a oven you can use the sun  and not your oven  sun power. When it was ready we got to smell it. It was fun!

Would you like to make a solar oven?

Racing car!

I can see a bright green car and I can hear people cheering.  I wonder if it is racing. I can see the number 63 and I hear a loud engine. I wonder if it is a Lamborghini. I can see a racing car.

the Estuary

An Estuary is when salt water meets fresh water. Lots of different animals live there like Oystercatchers, godwit, black billed gulls and crabs shellfish tui Eels flounder. When the water gets bad people go kite-surfing and they walk their dog and go windsurfing and get sick. Eels live in the fresh water. Lots of gulls have their habitats in the Estuary. If the estuary is polluted animals can get sick. People used the estuary as a rubbish bin. In Maori culture the Estuary is important. Plants that grow there are eels grass manawa mangrove and Ureure. The Estuary is a good place because you can do a lot of activities and see all the cool birds like the godwit. The plants are really cool to look at.
